Update: 5:35pm

Blacknight are reporting that services have returned to normal and all e-mail services for downloading and sending e-mail should be working fine. If you encounter any issues please send a query to support@thinkscape.ie or contact us on (01) 6877116. Apologies again for the downtime, Blacknight are to fully investigate and supply further details on this issue and we will contact customers once this is done. Thank you for your patience.

According to Blacknight the mail queue has been processed so receiving should be OK now on the POP mail server. The issue with receiving mail via IMAP is still be worked on and a new ETA of 4pm is the estimated time for this fix. Webmail remains offline also & a fix is being worked on.

Apologies again for the disruption in service.

Update: 12:25

According to Blacknight, receiving POP e-mail should be fine and the mail servers are currently processing the backlog of e-mails (estimated at over 1 million emails), so this may take some time to process completely as the day progresses.

There are still issues with receiving e-mail via IMAP and sending e-mail using the Blacknight SMTP server details. The service is reported to be working intermittently and Blacknight are still working to resolve these particular issues, the latest ETA is 2pm.

Update: 7:55am

Blacknight have spent the night restoring their old e-mail server node which is due to be operational at approximately 9am this morning.

In the meantime, as third party mail forwarding appears to be working, we have been forwarding mail addresses to third party backup mail addresses to ensure that you can access any new e-mail in case there are still issues. If you have supplied us with a Gmail, Hotmail, Eircom.net etc. mail address, you may find some e-mails in your inbox coming from your main domain address. This is a temporary setup so that you can receive your e-mail messages.

If you do not have such an account or have not supplied one to Thinkscape, we have been setting up backup e-mail addresses on Gmail. We will be contacting you this morning with these login details, otherwise please e-mail thinkscapeireland@gmail.com to request a Gmail login.

Apologies again for the disruption in service.
